About Julie

Julie LaCroix, M.A. Ed. is a career counselor in private practice in Southern California serving adults of all ages, with a specialty focus on helping college grads and young adults who are struggling to establish their career paths and launch their adult lives.

With a decade long business background in sales and trading for Merrill Lynch and Bloomberg, Julie launched a boutique recruiting firm to expand the emerging niche of electronic trading. After several years of success, she discovered that her own sense of purpose was firmly grounded in helping people find the type of work they were really meant to do.  

She graduated from UC Irvine with a B.A. in Psychology, earned an M.A. in Educational Counseling from Azusa Pacific University, is a Board Certified Coach with the CCE, and holds the highest designation in the field, Master Career Counselor from the National Career Development Association.

Julie obtained 6,000 hours of extensive advanced training beyond her Masters degree by securing both career and adult development emeritus scholars to train her on the complexities of integrating career choice with life happiness across the stages of adulthood.

She is the ongoing keynote speaker for Business 101 at Camp Pendleton, where she provides in-depth training for veteran and senior officers on career paths, entrepreneurship, and labor market research to facilitate their successful transition into the world of free enterprise.

Julie is a subject matter expert for the USC Institute for Creative Technologies to further the development of their virtual reality interview training experience.  She is a a national speaker to the NCDA on a variety of career topics, is published in a global academic career journal, presents to professional associations and Boards of Education on career development topics, and provides specialized corporate consulting services focused on onboarding and training Millennial workers.

She absolutely loves her career.


About Joel

Joel Siegel, Ph.D. provides a full suite of executive leadership services to his business clients ranging from mid-level management teams to C-suite leaders and CEOs.  Joel works with small to midsize companies experiencing significant growth, as well as family owned businesses, legal practices, physicians and executives and other professionals in mid-career transitions. Over the past 25 years as an executive coach, psychologist, entrepreneur, and music producer, Joel’s experience and accomplishments have allowed him to understand what makes a successful person, a rewarding project, and profitable, sustainable company.

Working with executives and other professionals who are in transition is an important professional specialization for Joel, who guides these individuals through the complex turns a career can take and into a successful arrival at their next professional destination.

As a musician and producer over the years, Joel has worked with many major artists including David Crosby Spencer Dryden Grace Slick Billy Kreutzmann and Bob Weir among others. He was an original member of RJFOX.

During his years as a clinical psychologist, Joel was a member of the American Psychological Association, California Psychological Association and the San Diego Psychological Association. He was the first psychologist named to sit on the executive committee of a California hospital. Currently Joel is a member of International Coach Federation, San Diego Professionals Team, and he is on the Board of Directors of STAR San Diego, as well as being a member of The Trusted Advisors, and The VC Roundtable. He received his bachelor of arts from the University of Michigan, his master of arts from United States International University, and his Ph.D. from United States International University.
